Weight Release

Why Diets Don’t Work

The simple truth? Diets are based on restriction. They label foods as good or bad… And the moment something is “off limits”… you tend to want it more.

That’s not failure — that’s human nature. You may have experienced: Losing weight… then putting it back on,  feeling like you’re always “starting again, jumping from one plan to the next


In fact, research suggests that most people regain the weight they lose after dieting. So it’s not that you’re doing it wrong… It’s that the approach isn’t working with your mind. You might have heard things like: “Finish your plate or no pudding”, “Don’t waste food, Being given food for comfort or reward Over time, food can become linked to: Comfort, stress relief, celebration, coping. And these patterns can become deeply rooted.


Why It Can Feel So Difficult

You might notice: Eating when stressed, bored, or overwhelmed, cravings that feel hard to control, “All or nothing” thinking, starting, strong… then losing momentum, being hard on yourself when things slip. This isn’t about willpower. It’s your mind doing what it has learned to do.
